Multiplexer Products
The multiplexer products that SYSTEM SUPPORT SERVICES supports are high speed systems used to gather data from remote locations in the plant or campus site, and feed that data to a central computer over high speed coaxial cable communication links.
The primary applications for these systems are in commercial nuclear security systems, government (DOE) facilities, and large corporate or plant security systems. They also find application in industrial data monitoring and control systems.
Multiplexer products fall into 4 categories. The two main product lines are COMTROL 1 and Megaplex.™ The third category is "Functional Interface Modules," or FIMs, which can be used with either product. The final category is "Options and Spares," which includes such items as cable assemblies, extender cards, and firmware.
